Q. CAN WE TAKE THE MOTORHOME ABROAD?

Yes, due to the UK leaving the EU the rules have changed for taking vehicles out of the UK on a Temporary basis. A VE103B form is required at customs to allow the vehicle to leave the country. You are responsible for doing this. You must let us know in advance if you are planning on taking the motorhome out of the UK including Ireland.

Q. WHAT DOES IT COST TO TAKE THE MOTORHOME ABROAD?

£95 per week which includes the following:

  • Added Breakdown Cover
  • Added Insurance
  • Mileage
  • VE103B form – you need a Vehicle on Hire Certificate to prove you have our permission to take our motorhome abroad.

Q. WHAT LICENSE DO I NEED TO DRIVE A MOTORHOME?

None of our motorhomes exceed 3500kg which means you require a category B or equivalent license.

Each driver will need to visit – www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence – before arrival to create a licence check code which they must produce when they come in to collect the vehicle. This code is only valid for 21 days

  • You must have a UK full driving license for 2 years or more
  • You must be aged between 25 and 79 years

Q. WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE A UK LICENCE?

Licence issued in the European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA) countries are treated equally. The Countries are listed below:

EU Countries:
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom.

EEA Countries:
Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. Therefore, if you are from an EU/EEA country holding a valid community licence you can drive in line with the appropriate entitlement as per your driving licence. It is a criminal offence to drive using a licence that is not valid in the UK. In addition, if you do so, the insurance will be invalidated, and you will be committing a further criminal offence of ‘driving without valid motor insurance’.

Non UK, EU, EEA Licences:
Non-UK, EU, EEA licences must be valid for the duration of the rental period. Should such foreign licences be in a foreign alphabet they must be accompanied by an International Driving Permit.
N.B. International Driving Permits issued in the UK are not valid in the UK.

Q. CAN WE LEAVE OUR VEHICLE WITH YOU?

Yes, we have a secure car park onsite.

If notification of your cancellation is received more than six weeks before the start date of your hire you will be refunded in full less the initial payment (the deposit). If notification of your cancellation is received less than six weeks before the start date of your hire all monies paid and due are not refundable and you are still liable for any sums not yet paid. However, we will do all we can to rehire the motorhome and if we are able to do so, you will be refunded up to a maximum of your total hire less your initial payment, subject to the amount we are able to rehire the motorhome for.
