Aberdeen Christmas Village
For the past few years (excusing the covid festive periods), Aberdeen Inspired, a business improvement district collective, has hosted the stunning Aberdeen Christmas Village. In previous years they have provided a range of curated produce, from locally made alcohol to beautifully handcrafted tokens for friends and family. Hoping to be located on Broad Street from Thursday, 17th November, until 31st December 2022, the event promises to provide a festive extravaganza for all the family.
This event also uses its platform to fundraise for charity, with previous events providing an astonishing £15,000 for Charlie House, a local children’s charity. There will be plenty to eat and drink with the promise of festivities each weekend.
Tea Green Festive Market
Situated in Aberdeen Art Gallery, this indoor market will offer an experience like no other. The market will host an excellent selection of work, including cosy textiles, sparkling jewellery, gorgeously functional ceramics, quirky illustrations & so much more!
With 50 independent creative businesses exhibiting over the weekend, this is the perfect place to find all of those unique & special gifts!

Outdoor Events
Although the weather may feel a little chillier, staying outside can still feel warm with the many events that Aberdeen offers.
Hunt for the Lost Toys – Christmas Nature Trail
Twelve beautiful sculptures will be placed at various locations across the city to be found as part of a family trail. The trail will run from Thursday, the 1st – Saturday, 24th December.
Seek these impressive statues, created by local chainsaw carver Garry Shand, out, and this year they even offer an interactive function with the help of QR codes to make them even more magical.
Explore the Parks
Aberdeen is home to many beautiful walks and parks, each offering its own attractions, from the Winter Gardens within Duthie Park to the stunning landscape of Hazelhead park. Although many of the attractions are reduced through the winter, it still offers a great walk as you meander along the many trails and paved paths. Christmas Carol Concerts
If you enjoy keeping in the festive spirit, you can’t miss the cheerful carol concert hosted by the Capriccio choir.
Located in the David Welch Winter Gardens at Duthie Park, you can sing along with all your favorite carols. The event is free, but donations are suggested for the Foodbank Appeal.
Spaces are limited, and it’s on a first-come, first-serve basis. These will occur on Saturday, 17th December, at 11 am, 12:15 pm and 3 pm.
